From the Hurricane-a-Week Club
Listen, folks; we are trying. We really are! But Hurricane Milton has sent us scrambling and is making internet communication very difficult. That blue dot in the picture is my current location in Gainesville, Florida. My congregation, the Venice United Church of Christ, is there right in front of the 3 (as in Category 3) and is due to take the brunt of the storm sometime later tonight.
If we are able to get out a late-breaking edition with at least a sermon and a few notes, we will. If not, join us in praying for even more folks who will suffer from this storm, even while the woes of Hurricane Helene are not yet healed. Preach well and strong this week, colleagues and pastors!
